Fresh Perspective

As we build our momentum for a Beta launch, I have to say I never thought the road to this point would be so rewarding both personally and professionally.  For an ex-mortgage industry professional, a stay at home mom(past marketing career) and a web designer to be rolling out an online grocery comparison site was not our first thought, or even in our top 100 thoughts.  It was out of a trip to the store, on New Years Eve 2008, that the   “ah ha” moment hit, and we  gained a FRESH PERSPECTIVE.  We all have had them.  This one hit hard.  But unlike so many others, this one involved creating a business and laying it all on the line.  Burning the boats so to speak.

The majority of my blogs have been about saving money, but this one is just about us. The Team.  The 3 brave souls behind this huge machine.   The late nights that only our closest friends and family know that we have burned through.  The small fortune we have invested in coffee and making sure the pot remains full at all times! The countless websites we have searched and searched again and the resources and relationships and knowledge we have gained in just 1o short months.  Did I mention “burning the boats”.  That was/is the thrill seeking part of this venture.

From day one, we believed and still do to this day that if we were to nail this idea to a working model, we would level the playing field and literally help every single person we could think of save money.  I wish it was more sexy or more cutting edge(the technology will be smoking!), but the idea is as simple as it gets.  It’s the “rubber to the road” or “the put up or shut up”  attitude  that we have all embraced and lean on.  We take everything we know about what we are doing, and if we would not use it,  that idea never sees the light of day.  It is critical thinking, it’s about putting out the best you possibly can, even if that means a delay here or there.  It means compromise little and never compromise on quality.
